Sara Stephenson Peska serves clients at Mahoney & Mahoney, LLC on personal injury matters, civil litigation, and general practice. Sara is certified as a civil mediator and Guardian ad Litem with the 15th Judicial Circuit. Sara is also a registered patent attorney. Sara is on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Rural Practice Section Council and serves as an officer of Stephenson County Bar Association. She is a charter member of Stephenson County’s 100 Women Who Care, member board of directors for the Freeport Area Youth Football and Cheer organization, the parent-teacher association of her children’s school, local golf league, and Freeport summer pops concert band.

Associate Circuit Judge Anthony W. Peska currently presides over a criminal call as well as an abuse and neglect call. He has previously presided over numerous civil calls including family and divorce, small claims and law magistrate. He was appointed to the bench in 2022. He graduated from University of North Dakota School of Law and is a graduate of Loras College where he played Varsity Football. Judge Peska serves as a Director of the Illinois Judges Association and is on the security committee.
